TOLFA at the International Veterinary Student Symposium
A Project Raja poster in Nottingham Vet School lead to TOLFA being contacted IVSA to promote Project Raja, the very successful volunteer programme we have been running since 2007.

Jennifer Carr, a key member of the International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA) and veterinary student, asked if we’d like to contribute a prize to be awarded at the annual symposium to be held in Glasgow over the New Year.
Jennifer also invited us to come to Glasgow and meet the 90 or so students from a very impressive 23 countries. We were delighted to accept both invitations.
We will be pleased to welcome Suz Dwyer from Australia to the Project Raja team who was the lucky winner of a free place on the project to go and work in our clinic in India.
Chatting to the delegates from as far afield as America, Korea, Slovenia, to name but a few, was really great. The students were very interested in a project that allowed them to get a ‘fix’ for their travel bug AND get valuable experience towards their extra curricular activities.
The kindness of many of these students also meant that we now have our information in 19 veterinary universities in 14 countries.
A big thanks also goes to Heather McCabe and Jemma Kerr, both previous Project Raja volunteers, for their invaluable help for the stay in Glasgow.
