Edward arrived at the shelter as a young pup with hind leg paralysis but not so severe that it has had a permanent effect on him, and with the help of daily hydrotherapy in the cattle trough, he is using his hind legs more and more effectively. We are confident that he will get stronger and stronger.
But having arrived at the shelter at such a tender age and having been a resident for several months now, it wouldn’t be possible to return him to the street as his street dog survival instincts would never had chance to develop. The volunteers immediately fall for his charms, he’s a determined fellow, always on some mission and holds the record for the most milk lapped from a bowl in 10 seconds, a veritable frenzy of lapping!
