Slum Dogs of India
There’s exciting news for one of our Trustees, Eloise Leyden. After being a volunteer at TOLFA and travelling around India, she became fascinated by the dogs of India and proceeded to take hundreds of photographs whilst on her travels.
Her photographs have now been compiled into one beautiful book that’s guaranteed to pull at your heartstrings.

Read about Eloise and her visit to TOLFA in Happiness is walking a dog named Pork Pie.

This is a fantastic accomplishment for TOLFA and for Eloise, and even better, for ALL street dogs (slum dogs) of India, whose stories need to be told. I hope every dog lover who has ever travelled to India will find his or her lost companion in this book; I hope anyone who loves dogs will come to India and meet the street dogs personally. They are life-changers.
All the best to Eloise, and to Rachel Wright, founder of a fantastic shelter which makes animals’ dreams come true every day.
I just picked up my copy of the book this week and I absolutely loved it. I contacted the author to let her know how much the images moved me. I recently adopted a pup from Amehdabad, who now lives with me in Ottawa, Canada. He is the most amazing dog I have ever met. Though I have never been to India, I plan to in the next year to volunteer. This book is so real and true. You really feel like you are there. Amazing job!
