Pete reaches his fundraising target
It was a beautiful sunny morning when Pete Mason ventured out on Sunday 15th March 2009 and made his way down to the starting line.

The runners were all grateful for the slight chill in the air, and the supporters came out in their hundreds to cheer on the eager trainer-clad racers.
With some 3800 runners, it was a busy start but soon everyone settled into their own pace. Slowly jogging up the hills of Hastings, speeding up along the flatness of The Ridge and final rolling downhill towards Rock-a-nore.
And with the finishing line in sight Pete even managed a wave.

Running so fast to that finishing line he’s all blurry
He completed the race in 2 hours, 1 minute and 59 seconds - shaving 9 seconds off last years PB.
So while Hastings celebrated its 25th half marathon, Pete celebrated raising £205 for us which will go towards building our much needed quarantine kennel.
Thanks to Pete for donating his blood, sweat and tears, and to everyone who sponsored him!
