January 2015: We’re delighted to announce that Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE has joined TOLFA as our new patron. Lord Hastings, who has family roots in India, is KPMG’s Global Head of Citizenship and has led the World Economic Forum’s work on The Future of Civil Society.
“I am honoured to support the work of TOLFA – a group of fantastically committed individuals making a real difference to the lives of animals and people in India,’ says Lord Hastings. ‘I am thrilled with the love, compassion and care that TOLFA is spreading in the country that I have such deep affinity for.”
Lord Hastings is Vice President of UNICEF and patron of Free the Children UK. An independent peer to the House of Lords, he was awarded a CBE in 2004 for services to crime prevention. In 2014 he received a Doctorate in Civil Law for his life commitment to development and justice.
“Lord Hastings’ inspirational history of service to charities is of immeasurable benefit as we launch into a new decade of expansion,” says TOLFA founder Rachel Wright. “An exciting future lies ahead of us.”
