Half Marathon fundraiser
Kim Clarke (Managing Trustee of TOLFA UK) and Pete Mason completed their first ever half marathon on Sunday 16th March in the hilly town of Hastings.
You are probably thinking why on earth would they ever contemplate doing this. Their main incentive (apart from getting fit) was to raise money for the Tree of Life for Animals. And they did a fabulous job of raising £172 from their generous sponsors.

And so after 3 months of training, they did a sterling job at running the distance of 13.1 miles, despite the wet weather and masses of hills they encountered en route.
The crowds of supporters along the way did a grand job of cheering them on to the finish line with plenty of noise, banners, cheers and some welcome orange segments at the halfway mark.
Pete crossed the line with a smile on his face and said “can we do it again next year”? Whilst Kim finished with a wave to the crowd and happily tucked into a chocolate bar to revive her energy levels.
You can still sponsor them on their fundraising website www.justgiving.com/kimandpetehastings08.
