Education and Compassion

Education and Compassion Project

Coming Soon

Humane education forms a huge part of any successful project and it is the Tree of Life for Animals aim that alongside its veterinary work an education project will run that promotes animal welfare and strengthens the human-animal bond that has been lost to so many people.

Only through genuine compassion can we make a difference to the animals that live in our area. Our emphasis will be on teaching school children, organising a series of lectures and activities that are appropriate for different age groups.

New Programme Launch - Donkey Care

There are over a 1000 donkeys that live and work in the area. As in other parts of the world, the life of a working donkey is very hard, being used to transport heavy loads in adverse conditions.

In April 2007, Tree of Life for Animals launched a mini project to help try and improve the life of these working donkeys by educating their owners in hoof care, nutrition, well fitting saddles and not overloading their donkeys as well as providing appropriate rest and watering during work.
