‘City 2 Surf’ Fun Run 2008
The Tree of Life for Animals has supporters all over world. Belle Moran, an Australian Veterinary Nurse, tells the story of her latest charity fundraising event.
“On a wintery August morning 70,000 people began the annual ‘Sydney City 2 Surf’. It’s a 14km run from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach.
It’s not an easy 14 kilometres due to ‘Heartbreak Hill’ - the hill which just seems to keep going & going & going… but it’s a great day out for people of all ages.
Start of the City 2 Surf Fun Run
Last year Trent and I competed but this year we decided to involve our friends and to raise money for TOLFA. Thanks to this years participants - Fleen, Kath, Emily, Sinead, Penny, Trent and Belle.

Everyone did well as they were probably eager to get to the pub afterwards! A huge thanks to our family and friends, especially our colleagues at North Shore Veterinary Hospital for all of their kind donations - all in all we have raised over $500!
A fun day was had by all and we hope to do it all again next year, only bigger!”
