Charity Dog Show

In November 2007 we received an email from Cromwell Vets in Cambridgeshire announcing they were organising a charity dog show at Hinchingbrooke Country Park to celebrate National VN Week. They hoped to raise lots of money that they would donate between 3 different charities: The Hedgehog Preservation Society, the Cinnamon Trust and us, the Tree of Life for Animals.

We were very honoured to have been selected and as a result have just received a cheque for £238.57 - what a fantastic job. Well done everyone at Cromwell Veterinary Surgery and thank you!

Everyone was well wrapped up because the day was cold and a little windy, but at least it stayed dry which we were thankful for. Just walking around, you could see how much time and effort had gone into making the whole day happen.

There was plenty going on at the dog show, with heaps of competitions to enter such as the cutest puppy (kindly sponsored by VN Times), the waggiest tail and best trick performed. Agility demonstrations, tombola and cake stalls, doggy games and even a sausage-catching competition!

All the Vet Nurses were on hand to offer pet and careers advice to the public who attended, but a round of applause goes to Chris Walton who raised £100 by having all his hair shaved off!
