First pictures of the new kennel block
TOLFA is now the proud owner of a new kennel block. This wonderful addition brings the number of dog kennels to 100 which means we can take in and treat many more animals that need our attention.Serena, one of our long term volunteers writes this;”Here is the wondrous new kennel block - so bright and comfortable and lovely to work in (and hopefully the dogs find it so to reside in!), Animal assistants Kishore and Janardin pose in the cool interior with it’s crisp cream stone and green wrought iron paintwork.
Adaptations from the original kennels have been made, we have used more practical materials to ensure easier cleaning.There’s Jasper, the spindly black hound, strolling past Rachel and the boys in front of the kennel in his gleaming healthy coat . It’s such a relief that we don’t have to double up the number of dogs to a kennel. “
It really is amazing to see how the hospital and shelter is growing at such a rapid rate, and it would not have been possible without the support and hard work of so many people who believe in the Tree of Life for Animals.We are extremely grateful to Kay Hamilton who helped us raise a magnificent £2500 to pay for half of the building costs. Her efforts and generous donation will benefit so many of the animals that we take in each day.Kay Hamilton says;
‘When we heard about TOLFA, we felt we should help. If we care for those less fortunate than ourselves and for all creatures both great and small then we ourselves may be happier.’Many thanks also to the local municipality in Ajmer, who contributed the remaining funds needed to complete the kennels.
