The Winter in Ireland is long

The winter in Ireland is long, wet and grey, combine that with the need to go out and see some of the world and do something where one can use ones skills, and a stay at TOLFA seemed like a great idea.And it sure was, 3 weeks of sunshine, constant greetings from happy people and even happier animals and interesting fulfilling work.

Our Latest Volunteer - Heather

I’ve never really been much of a traveller, so the prospect of a month in India sounded like a great adventure. I had little idea of what to expect, but I was lucky- some of the previous volunteers were able to pass on some of their wisdom and a few tips!

For the third year running, November is the month that sees Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary surgeries all over the UK celebrate National VN week.

Dog treats donated

We recently had a very generous donation of dog chews from John Meynells in Richmond, West Yorkshire. This traditional small town garden and pet supplies shop was founded by John’s mother and they were more than happy to help us out when they found out about our animal charity hospital.

New kennelsTOLFA is now the proud owner of a new kennel block. This wonderful addition brings the number of dog kennels to 100 which means we can take in and treat many more animals that need our attention. (more…)
