Tree Of Life For Animals

On a sunny Sunday morning in September, 8 ladies - 1 in Liverpool, 7 in London - took part in the 5km Hydroactive Womens Challenge.

This is an annual event that encourages all women to take part in a race with one main aim, to raise money for a variety of charities and good causes, large or small. Our 8 lovely ladies were of course raising money on behalf of TOLFA.

Ready for the challenge

Several thousand women of all ages, sizes and shapes turned up in droves, dressed in a variety of costumes. The atmosphere was light-hearted and we had plenty of encouragement and support from spectators.

The Start

Our London route took us through the lovely Hyde Park, finally finishing at the Serpentine lake and everybody did good time and completed the course in under one hour. Afterwards we enjoyed a well deserved cup of tea and slice of cake. Well done to all those who took part and thank you to everyone who sponsored them!
