Appeal for Dog Collars and Leads
Clara is one of our Project Raja volunteers who is at our shelter at the moment. She has appealed for some dog collars and leads, as the few that we have remaining are deteriorating rapidly through wear and tear. Please read Clara’s appeal and see if you can help us.
If you can help us, please email fundraising@tolfa.org.uk

Clara’s Appeal
Some of the dogs have to spend a long time at the hospital, which means they are confined to kennels for long periods of time. One of the ways volunteers like myself can make a real difference to the dogs’ lives is to take them out for walks - this helps their health, improves their confidence and chance of rehabilitation, encourages normal doggy behaviours(!) and gives them much needed exercise, sunshine and companionship!
Walking the dogs
Unfortunately at the moment the hospital’s collars and leads are in such a bad state we can barely take one dog out at a time - they get damaged and chewed so much - we really need some more! Keeping dogs as pets in India is not common so regular pet supplies like these can be hard to come by.
If you feel able to donate a collar and/or lead then please get in touch. Or make a donation directly with us
The attached pictures show my friend Jack, a one-eyed dog who has been recovering at TOLFA for several weeks since having surgery on his once maggot-infested eye wound.
Please help us to help him and many others like him…

A very worthwhile appeal. I will make a donation.
